Megalio, a community dedicated to non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that is nurturing the development of the MegaETH blockchain network, has revealed its intention to unveil a new NFT collection by the end of this week. The MegaETH blockchain, which is still in the works, is projected to handle an impressive 100,000 transactions per second with minimal latency when it becomes operational.
Megalio NFT Mint Scheduled for June 28
In a blog entry dated June 24, the Megalio team confirmed the upcoming launch of their NFT collection on the Ethereum blockchain, a platform renowned for hosting numerous leading NFT collections. The eagerly awaited collection is set to debut on June 28, 2025. Participants in the minting event will also receive a whitelist for the MegaETH mainnet launch. The minting will take place on Ethereum’s mainnet through the Kingdomly platform.
Understanding the MegaETH Blockchain
MegaETH is a promising Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain initiative developed by MegaETH Labs, which aims to significantly boost the scalability and performance of the Ethereum mainnet through real-time transaction processing. Currently still under construction, this Layer 2 solution is expected to facilitate more than 100,000 transactions for both cryptocurrencies and NFTs per second after its official launch. The MegaETH Labs team commenced development of this blockchain in June 2024, during which they secured $20 million in a seed funding round led by Dragonfly Capital, raising the project’s overall token valuation to over $100 million. The initiative garners support from prominent industry figures, including Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, investor Cobie, and ConsenSys founder Joseph Lubin. The Megalio NFT collection consists of a limited series of 4,444 tokens hosted on the Ethereum network, embodying the essence of what is referred to as the Mega Civilization. Megalio appears to have ties with Remilia Corp, the creator of the Milady NFT, incorporating designs inspired by the Milady Maker NFT project. This collection marks the inaugural Milady derivative NFT tailored specifically for the MegaETH ecosystem.
